SMS & Voice Alerts
What this program is
GCR Sentinel sends members alerts they explicitly turn on inside the GCR Sentinel mobile app. There are two separate, independently opt-in channels:
- Text (SMS) alerts — recurring automated text messages, including time-sensitive "RV-day" event alerts, individual claim/news alerts, and periodic digests of new activity from sources you follow.
- Voice-call alerts — recurring automated voice calls that read RV-day alerts aloud. This is a separate opt-in from SMS.
Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You can use GCR Sentinel without turning on text or voice alerts.
How you opt in
Opt-in happens inside the GCR Sentinel mobile app — we never add a number without the account holder's explicit action. A registered user opens their alert settings and toggles on "SMS alerts" (or "Voice-call alerts"). An explicit consent screen then appears with the full disclosure and a checkbox that is unchecked by default. The user must check the box and tap "Agree & turn on alerts" before any message can be sent. The exact wording the user agrees to is recorded, with a timestamp, at the moment of consent. Upon opting in to SMS alerts, the subscriber receives a one-time confirmation text:
